How it works
Digivolution & De-Digivolution

As Digimon gain experience, they can undergo significant changes to their appearance and nature that make them even stronger. These sudden transformations are referred to as "Digivolution."
There are certain conditions for Digivolution:
- Meet the required stats (excluding increases from equipment).
- Meet the required Agent Rank.
Collect data on as many Digimon as possible and use it to uncover new Digivolution results.

Conversely, the process of compressing a Digimon's data is referred to as "De-Digivolution." This is an effective means of Digivolving a particular Digimon into a different specimen.
One of the following conditions must be met in order to De-Digivolve a Digimon:
- The De-Digivolution target Digimon has been encountered before and is listed in your field guide, or;
- The De-Digivolution target Digimon is of the same Personality.
There are secret techniques for Digivolution and De-Digivolution.
Navigate to System > Tutorial > Training on your Digivice to view:
Digivolution Technique 1: Talent, Digivolution Technique 2: Cumulative Value, and Digivolution Technique 3: Bond.
Digivolution Technique 1: Talent
Talent is a numerical representation of a Digimon's level limit.
A Digimon's Talent increases upon Digivolving, and increases even further when frequently participating in battle. Furthermore, Talent does not decrease when Digivolving or De-Digivolving.
Therefore, it is possible to develop even more powerful Digimon through repeated Digivolution and De-Digivolution.
How to Increase a Digimon's Talent
- Participate in battles.
- Finish off an enemy.
- Strike an enemy's weak point.
- Win a battle without taking damage.
- Train at the farm.
Digivolution Technique 2: Cumulative Stats
When a Digimon Digivolves or De-Digivolves, the cumulative stats are the value of the stats passed on to the next Digimon.
They are indicated by a blue number in parentheses in the Digimon's stats.
Cumulative stats don't decrease even if the Digimon Digivolves or De-Digivolves. However, there is a limit to how many times they can be carried over. See "Digivolution Technique 3: Bond" for more information.
Methods to increase cumulative stats:
- Using Enhancement Items Depending on the enhancement item used, the value added to a particular stat will also be added to its cumulative stat.
- Performing Digivolution/De-Digivolution
10% of the previous Digimon's stat value increased through leveling up or by training on the farm will be added to the cumulative stat.
- Performing Load Enhancements A portion of the cumulative stats of the Digimon used as enhancement materials will be passed on.
Digivolution Technique 3: Bond
Bond is a numerical representation of your relationship with your partner Digimon.
Bond increases slightly over the course of your adventures with the Digimon.
The higher a Digimon's Bond, the more times it is able to inherit a cumulative stat when Digivolving and De-Digivolving, thereby boosting its stats (up to 100 times max). Additionally, Bond does not decrease with De-Digivolution.
Other properties affected by a Digimon's Bond:
- Occurrence rate of Extra Strikes
- CRT hit rate
- Drop rate of items upon victory in battles
- Effects of certain Personality Skills
Methods of increasing a Digimon's Bond:
- Allow the partner Digimon to participate in battles.
- Talk to the partner Digimon.
- Feed the partner Digimon at the farm.
Aegiomon: Digivolution
"Digivolution" has been added to Aegiomon's battle commands.
He can now undergo a special Digivolution only when in battle.
Aegiomon is able to equip the Crimson Dragon Data Fragment to start the battle in a special Digivolved state.
The power of Iliad's treasure has unlocked Aegiomon's potential, meaning his true development starts now.
